Teacher Training scheduled September through May 2020/2021

Discounted tuition available for students interested in immersion, but unable to commit to the full course schedule (and forfeiting YTT certification).   


Lead teacher for training is Emily Wiadro, E-RYT. Emily's been teaching consistently since 2002 and, in addition to her 200 hour yoga teaching certification in 2006, has attended many week long intensives studying integrative yoga therapy.  Her practice has evolved from opportunities to work with hundreds of students over the decade since she moved to Brattleboro in 2007.    Emily's experience with yoga as a therapeutic practice is present in her teaching. 


Collaborating teachers include Heather Kulikowsky and Amanda Upton of Putney Moves.

Root to Rise Yoga Immersion curriculum includes:

  • yogic philosophy
  • anatomy
  • chakra system
  • asana alignment
  • therapeutic use of props
  • pranayama (breath practices)
  • integrating mudra (hand seals)
  • chair yoga techniques
  • yoga techniques for kids
  • safe teaching practices
  • student teaching opportunities
  • 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification


Beyond the Classroom:

  • Daily meditation and journaling
  • 2 online yoga session a week
